In CoD MW 2019, the camera work really stood out and in particular the seamless transition from the cinematic cutscene to the first person view. The greatest example of this is the Piccadilly Square mission where you play as Gaz. The camera swings round the car to a side shot of Gaz. It then follows his gaze towards a terrorist van that's driving by and pulls you in to the scene while handing the reigns over to you. This is really impressive cinematography.
I recently played the original Modern Warfare campaign from 2009(Remastered in 2017)and noticed that this signature camera movement was a staple to the MW series. In this years MW2 even though the effect has been used it didn't seem to be as organic a transition as in the predecessors. I think the problem here has to do with the camera direction. The camera doesn't transition soon enough to the character we are playing us. We get a general overview shot then almost immediately a micro shot of the characters face we are playing about and use their forward motion to swing the camera around to first person view. It is jarring because more often than not the previous shot is seems to always be directly opposite the character.
