Recently started replaying The Medium on PS5. Part of the reason why I though I would try the game again(was originally a Xbox/Game Pass exclusive)was the implementation of Dual Sense support: Mainly Adaptive Triggers & Haptic feedback.
Sadly, this is the second title I've played where the Dual Sense control was not properly calibrated for whatever the developers were hoping to achieve. The first was Observer System Redux. The controller makes me feel like I'm holding a jar full of angry bees about to break free. It vibrates often and in instances that probably would have been better without any vibration at all. Also, the quality of the vibrations is poor. Often it stops too soon before the onscreen action its meant to be conveying has completed. Additionally, seems to me that there is no difference in the pattern and intensity of vibration. However, haptic feedback for rain drops is frankly brilliant and has been in all games that have implemented this feature.
The implementation of the dual sense features on Play Station exclusives has been done rather well and does help sell the immersion. I have had a long standing principle of purchasing cross platform titles on the Xbox and exclusives on either respective of platform. I think I will continue with these tradition for upcoming titles: Callisto Protocol, Dead Space Remake. However, I may purchase Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation for the extra DLC and promised use of the ring of light on the Dual Sense to indicate which house one is a part of. I'm Slytherin of course.
